On July 6th, San Francisco housing advocates, public housing and Section 8 tenants are joining the national day of action against the proposed $6.8 billion in cuts to HUD. Along with 25 other cities across the country, We will demand #NoHUDCuts and #Homes4All because we have a national housing crisis. Meet at the UN Plaza fountain in Civic Center at noon. Together we will visit Senator Kamala Harris’ office. She sits on the Budget Committee, and we’ll be asking her to push as hard as she can against the projected $6.8 billion in cuts, against raising rents on folks who live in public housing, and against the 250K in cuts to section 8 vouchers. Housing is a Human Right! Fully fund HUD!!!More details on how these cuts impact California: https://affordablehousingonline.com/FY18-hud-budget-cuts/California.
