San Francisco – Four of 15 low-income vets with federally subsidized vouchers, who face displacement from 15 units declared illegal by the city, appeared before the SF Planning Commission on Thursday, July 27 to ask that the commissioners not allow them to be displaced from their homes. Their landlord, Judy Wu, is currently being sued by the city for allegedly adding the units without permits. Tenants filed for a Discretionary Review hearing contesting the demolition of their units. The Commission voted to delay that hearing until October 5. Below are links to some recent stories about the vets.
